Cinespace Film Studios in the 90’s was a massive complex of under used warehouses in Toronto’s neglected port lands. Raw and dilapidated, the currently booming film and television industry in Toronto had at that point seen better days. A prime opportunity for some of Toronto’s young and hungry rave promoters to pay the landlords to give them access to the buildings for a weekend and turn the other way.

Iconic raves that defined an era from the likes of Pleasure Force and Syrous were held there that are revered as legendary and influential to this day. A young Jungle and Hardcore obsessed JESTA used to bus down from Niagara region to attend many of these events.

The two part Cinespace EP on City Dubs is Jesta’s personal homage to this life defining period.
